10 Solution for Jewelry Organization<br /><br />Photos: Britt Reints<br /><br />Jewelry can pull an outfit together and add versatility to a basic wardrobe. It can also get mostly ignored if it isn stored in a way that makes it easy to see, select, and put away your favorite pieces. I recently decided to pull my necklaces, earrings and bracelets out of the travel box they been hiding in, hoping that I be more likely to wear and change jewelry daily.<br /><br />I hit my local consignment shops in search of a picture frame or old window and found an old screen that was already framed. I bought it for $4 and added s hooks $2 a package at the hardware store and ended up with the perfect place to hang necklaces and dangly earrings.<br /><br />I have quite a few necklaces, however, so I picked up a drawer front for $1 at a consignment hardware store. I attached mismatched cabinet knobs, which ranged in price from $.25 to $1 per piece, and hung the remainder of my necklaces from the knobs.<br /><br />I still needed a solution for my stud earrings that couldn be hung up. I found a scrap piece of lace and cinched it into a small embroidery hoop. Presto, change o! I had a pretty place to put the rest of my earrings.<br /><br />The only thing left to handle was my collection of bracelets. My girlfriend took my kids out for dinner and came home with a glass coke bottle. figured you could make it into something, she told me. Turns out, the old fashioned bottle is perfect for stacking bracelets!<br /><br />Now that my accessories collection is more visible, I change my jewelry regularly. And, I feel like I actually getting my money worth out of items I long forgotten I owned.
